The Hall of Union sits between the two main palaces of the Inner Court. It housed the 25 Imperial Seals of the Qing Dynasty, each used for different official purposes. This was also where empresses received formal titles during enthronement ceremonies. Notice the water clock on display — one of the finest examples of ancient Chinese timekeeping technology.
